Privacy Policy

Switchboard Home (“we,” “us,” East Peak Labs) operates switchboardhome.com. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share information.

Information we collect

Calculator inputs. When you use our calculator, we collect the answers you provide (ZIP code, current setup, household size, electrical readiness, timeline, owner status). We store your results so you can return to them.

Lead form submissions. If you choose to be connected with a contractor, we collect your name, email, phone number, and best time to call. This is the only point at which we collect personally identifying contact information.

Analytics. We use PostHog to understand which pages people visit and how they use the calculator. PostHog is configured with privacy-friendly defaults (no IP storage, no cross-site tracking). We never sell analytics data.

Cookies. We use a small number of cookies for session persistence, calculator progress, and analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

How we use information

• To run the calculator and remember your progress (using localStorage).
• To send your lead details to up to 2 vetted contractors in your area when you opt in.
• To improve the product (anonymized analytics, A/B testing calculator copy).
• To send you a PDF summary of your results, or to follow up about your replacement (only if you provide an email).
• To respond to your contact form submissions.

How we share information

We share your contact information and calculator results only with the contractor(s) you explicitly choose. We never sell your information to data brokers, advertisers, or third parties.

Service providers we use:

• Vercel — site hosting
• Supabase — database for lead storage
• Sanity — content management
• Resend — transactional email
• Airtable — operations and contractor relationship management
• PostHog — privacy-friendly product analytics
• Sentry — error tracking (no PII captured)

Your rights

California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected.
• Delete your personal information.
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell, but you can opt out of any future sharing).
• Limit our use of sensitive personal information.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@switchboardhome.com. We’ll respond within 45 days.

Data retention

Calculator answers and lead records are retained for 24 months from your last interaction. Contractor outcome data is retained for 36 months for our internal quality metrics. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

Children

Switchboard Home is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we make changes. Material changes will be communicated via banner on the site for 30 days.
